September 14

This week was a walk week. I don't know if I told you this, but when I was here we had a walk/bike week every other week. Well, now we have the car for four weeks and walk only for one! It is really nice, and this week wasn't all that bad. I think I'm getting more used to biking in a skirt. We just have to think about biking before we get dressed. I love Muamelle so much!

You heard a lot about my week last week when I emailed... So let me think. We visited some really great members this week. One family is the McKinneys. They are so nice. Brother McKinney was inactive when I was here before, and now would go to church if he was healthy enough. That would be nice, but he does what he can. His wife was baptized while I was in Germantown. I love Sherri! She is so nice. I was able to teach her while I was here, but it just wasn't the right time. It is really hard to join the church when your husband in anti. While we were there Brother McKinney asked if either of us know how to use a sewing machine...Well being the quilter that I am I told him I do. He asked me to show him how to use his new sewing machine. That was really fun. It took me a while to figure out, but never fear I got it taken care of. That was fun. Sister Harmon and Sister McKinney watch Joseph Smith the Prophet of the Restoration while we were sewing. It was a really fun night.

Last week at Zone conference President Drewes was talking about why we have milage limits and walk weeks, and he said it was to get out and meet people as we go. So I was thinking about that all week, and we finally found somone when we were walking on Saturday! I was so happy! She was fishing at the lake near our apartment and we stopped to talk. She was really nice! And she caught a fish while we were talking to her. We are lucky! I'm excited to meet with her this week.

Sister Harmon and I have been given five focus families from the ward that are either less-active or partmember to work with. I'm really excited about it. Elder Perry has asked the wards in this area to pick 15 families/people from each ward to have the full time missionaries work with and the ward I'm in has two sets of missionaries so we get five people. Maumelle is a tiny area with lots of members, but most of the members that live here in Maumelle are active. That is great. We just have to get the active people more excited about missionary work.

I hope you all have a fantastic week!!
I love y'all!
