We found out that my dad's cancer is back just over a month ago. That was really hard news to get, but we are all feeling much better now. My dad is healthy enough that he can take part in a new radioactive treatment. That means that he will be infused with radioactive stuff that I don't really know about... Anyway, he will be radioactive for FIVE days. So my mom and I have to stay at least six feet away from him. That is sad, but at the end of those five days Dad should be healthy again. This time around is going to be way better than last time. NO CHEMO!!
The reason for this post is because I really do love my dad and I have been thinking about him a ton. I don't really know how to explain my dad in words. He has always been there for me and has encouraged me to do anything and everything I have ever wanted. I think he inherited Grandma J's good heart. He loves his kids and he would do anything for us. It is awesome. I have the opportunity now to be the only kid living at home, and I feel like we have gotten closer. I don't really know why... maybe because I always crash my parents' date nights... My dad is the BEST!!
Right now he is having a TON OF FUN being a Papa to two beautiful little girls. He is so fun to watch with them. I can't lie it really makes me want kids, but I need a man first. Dad is such a cute Papa. He loves to play with the girls. It makes me think about what he would have been like when all of us kids were little. I remember playing catch with my dad and playing different games outside. He has always been a fun dad.
I think the thing that stands out to me the most in my mind about my dad is that he would do anything for those he loves. Like when my mom had to go back to work Dad took on all of the laundry and cooking. He wanted to make sure Mom could come home from work and be Mom to the kids. I think that is one of the things I love the most about my dad. Dad became a huge part in the family. We had lots of fun together.
I LOVE YOU DAD!!
