Happy 4th!

I hope all of you had a great day! I had a really great day. It started like any other 4th of July that I can remember. We went to the Murray Parade. We have gone to that parade as long as I can remember, and we always have sat in the same place with the Monty's. It is so fun. After the parade we went shopping at the mall. That was new. We haven't done that before, but it was still really fun. Jetti and Scott left to meet up with his family and me, my mom, my dad, and my grandma. We had a little nap and then played cards. Our traditional 4th of July activity. We played Phase 10 and then we played 9's. The weirdest thing happened... Dad won both games! That just doesn't happen. When me, Mom, and Grandma were sick of losing we decided it was time for dinner. We had hamburgers, yummy. Time to go to fireworks. We usually leave about eight. So we went and picked out our spot. Mom and I walked to Target to get some batteries so we could listen to the music that was set to the fireworks. On our way back we noticed that they had put cation tape across the road that walked to Target on and we didn't want to go all the way around to avoid the block street, so we just went across the tape and when we had walked like two steps all the sudden a bunch of water came across the street. It was less than an inch form us. We almost got soaked by a fire truck that was getting everything wet so that a fire wouldn't start. It was so close and so funny! Mom and I started to walk as fast as I could to get out of there. We were just about through when all the sprinklers turned on. It was so funny! The sprinklers didn't just start inside the taped off areas but also out side of it where people were sitting. They were soaked! Luckily me and mom made it out basically dry. We just got the mist that was blown at us. When we got back to Dad and Grandma we saw Dad chasing a card that the wind had caught. It was funny. He caught it and came back to the blanket. We played Skip-Bo for a while, well until Grandma couldn't see the cards anymore. Jett and Scott met up with us and we watched the fireworks! I LOVE FIREWORKS!! It was a good day.
